Apple Has Just Missed The Mark On Being The Photo King Any Longer

An Apple lover, among many other things, is always looking forward to the Latest iPhone’s camera update. This year’s launch, the Apple iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus promised a lot in terms of picture quality. The company promised higher resolution, better captures, 4K videos and a lot more. But it seems Apple has been defeated in this its lead in the mobile photography race. There is a mix of terrific smartphone cameras. Sadly, now Apple’s iPhones have to try a lot harder when it comes to capturing the heart and soul of photo-lover.

For years, Apple has been renowned worldwide for its camera quality when it comes to Smartphones. There was even a time when the Company had a leg up from its rival, Android. Camera alone in an iPhone was the reason for people across the globe to choose this device. But in the last couple years, things have changed drastically. Major tech giants in the running like Samsung, Nokia, Motorola and LG have all somehow managed to equal the tough competition, while in some cases, have completed outshine and blown away the camera quality of the iPhone.

Although the announcement by Apple regarding it’s camera updates gave the notion that the company will take back the lead, but somehow it hasn’t been quite successful. This was perhaps the right time for the company to regain its long lost Glory in the world of camera quality and pictures, but the results aren’t as favorable as expected.

Though the new iPhone has resolution up to 12 megapixels, still it is not able to capture the details in a good click, which is a major letdown. Even when compared to Apple iPhone 6s and 6s plus’s predecessors, the camera resolution is a major letdown. Then how can the new launch even come to terms with Android phone’s camera quality. In fact, when it comes to phones like the S6 by Samsung, G4 by LG or Moto X by Motorola, their picture quality is way better and it renders details in the clicks which is quite pleasing. Out of the lot, the Moto X takes the lead by rendering the most clear details in broad daylight.

Samsung Galaxy TAB 3

After Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Samsung is here with an updated version presenting Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.  Well, honestly speaking the new version doesn’t come with notable abundant changes. However, it is more stylishly designed, more compact, sleek and slim, and much lighter in weight than its predecessor but the functionality is no different than Galaxy Tab 2. Let’s analyze it in more detail and find out if there are any key differences between the two.

Display and Design

The 10.1 –inch display of Galaxy Tab 3 adopts the similar kind of design as its predecessors hold. The plastic chassis are glossy in nature and showcases metallic border. This glossiness makes it welcoming for fingerprints which are hard to remove. However, it is lighter in weight and sleek and slim in design making it more portable.

It was a disappointment to discover that the very latest Galaxy Tab 3 doesn’t come with Full HD display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800. It displays somewhat unclear icons and graphic details appear less crispy. Unlike the Tab 2, the speakers are located at the sides of the laptop at the left and right edges. Unfortunately, the audio is not powerful enough, you’ll have to find a quieter place in order to hear the stuff clearly.

Power & Performance

Packed with dual core Intel Atom Z2560 system on a chip with the speed of 1.6 GHz, it appears to perform faster and better than the average as compared to its competitor tablets.  As it comes with a dual core processor, it is more likely to be suitable for multi-tasking and carrying out office tasks. With 1 GB RAM, it fails to offer sufficient memory as compared to other tablets.
The tablet showed varied results when tested on few benchmarks. The good news is, it performed a lot better than its previous model producing better results. However, the touch was observed to be poor in navigating the stuff on the screen. It lacked consistency as it occasionally got stuck while working. It definitely couldn’t compete against Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 which showcased relatively better results with the same screen size and resolution.

Camera

To all the camera lovers out there, Galaxy Tab 3 won’t let you down as it comes with 2 cameras, a rear camera of 3.15 mega pixel and a 1.3 megapixel front camera also catering autofocus.  You wouldn’t find this in other tablets that common. However, the picture result wasn’t found to be very admirable as they lacked detail and colors appeared to dull and not so happening. The 720p video recording revealed almost the same kind of results with a poor audio quality.  The camera comes in handy for emergency needs, definitely not something good for making memories.

Software

Running on the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung TouchWiz, it comes in with a lot useful features. Saving The Tablet’s battery in an intelligent way by its smartStay feature, making the tablet to doze off when you are not working on it. The Samsung Tab 3 is also a universal remote with a built in IR blaster. This allows you change your TV settings, channels and operate your cable box. Moreover, enjoy Game Hub, ChatON, Music Player, S Voice, Samsung Apps, watch ON etc.  Offered by Samsung, some of these coming pre-installed. Well, you can get the rest of desired apps from the standard collection of Google Apps.

Connectivity

The connectivity options are quite satisfactory. It has a Wi-Fi connectivity to establish connections with local wireless networks. Moreover, it comes with the 4.0 Bluetooth connection enabling to pair up your accessory devices. It is also installed with Micro-USB wired and charged connection and a 3.5 mm headphone connector.

Battery Life

Lastly, coming on to the battery life, with 6,800 mAh, it scores an average battery life of 8 hours which is usual for a 10.1 inch tablet. This time period is quite sufficient for having longer relaxed working hours.

Wrap Up

The Samsung Galaxy TAB 3 proves to be better than its predecessor Tab 2 as it is more stylishly designed, lighter in weight and beating Tab 2 in all the performance based tests. The battery life was also found satisfactory. However, despite offering dual cameras, the picture quality proved to be average. It has got all what you need to carry out your daily computing tasks but it is certainly not made to entertain you at the best. Coming with a high price tag, it doesn’t prove to be as good as its competitor tablets are such as Xperia Tablet Z and Toshiba’s 10-inch Pure.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 Review

The most recent Samsung Galaxy S6 is so amazing that honestly reviewing it is so exciting for me. I am here not only to evaluate this smartphone, I myself want to discover it even more. Samsung S series has unleashed some of the best smartphones but with time the hype of these phones was seen dying. But, wait what? Here is a deadly comeback by Samsung through Samsung Galaxy S6, an unmatchable beauty. We did expect it to be awesome but it proved our predictions wrong by being Super Awesome! Let’s discover more about this unique looking device.

Design and Display

We have got a lot to talk about the design of this new beauty in smartphone market. The Galaxy Edge S6 is more stylishly designed but definitely costs more. It has been elegantly designed with smooth Gorilla Glass 4 on front and back. Aluminum alloy takes its place on the sides and by all means it certainly appears as a flagship phone. This is a rare and expensive combination of the phone chassis.
The phone looks robust but yet very light in the hand, slimmer than S5. However, one thing we would like to point out is the awkward speaker placement present at the base of the phone. It would have been better if it was placed at the back. This wrong placement muffles the sound of the phone when holding it. The design of rear side of the phone is relatively less attractive because of the camera that bulges out around 2mm giving it a bit uncomfortable look. Moreover, it is with the metallic chassis and design it appears less grippy. It isn’t waterproof either as S5 was so this means you will have to take care of it even more.
The phone comes with the numerous royal-silk jewel colour tones including White Pearl, Gold Platinum, Black Sapphire, Green Emerald And blue Topaz adding more to the phone’s premium look.
Talking about the display, it definitely win at being brilliant as it comes with Super AMOLED panel. The 5.1-inch screen is vibrant producing crystal clear images and natural whites. The Full (1080p) screen appears to be sharp making the things going on screen more enjoyable appearing perfect in both in dark and daylight.

Software and Performance

Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with updated version of TouchWiz, it surely gets incredible with performance. Coming with Octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, it takes an edge as this processor is rarely found in smartphone and works better than the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor.
One of the great features that played a good role in terms of performance is its Multi-window functionality. You can open and use two apps simultaneously. This means you can share posts on social media while using Whatsapp or emailing. Moreover, with 3GB RAM and streamlined TouchWiz, it surely offers you with the best.
It also has something to offer the gamers. The proof of excellent performance by the phone is how neatly it handles the graphically intensive games like Asophalt 8. It worked perfectly on the phone with no dropping of the frames giving the best of gaming experience we haven’t found anything similar on any other phone.

Camera

Here is something even bigger for people who love taking fine pictures. Coming with the 16-megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX240 sensor it surely delivers the best picture details you can ever imagine. It even works well in low light and captures tiniest details with great auto-focusing speed which is better than what iPhone 6 offers.
Equipped with f/1.9 lens, Samsung Galaxy S6 has made sure that you capture great images even in dim lights. Additionally, the Optical image stabilization (OIS) does a superb job of capturing splendid nightscapes even without using flash. Now this is something rare and unheard before.
And how can we forget to mention about the great selfies it produces. The user can take flawless pictures of himself by entering into different modes such wide selfie beauty shot etc.

Battery life and Charging

Coming with a weaker battery than its predecessor, the S6 is found power hungry. With 2,550 mAh, it manages to take out a day if phone used at normal levels. However, if you are a more frequent user than you surely will have to give it a recharge or use battery saving modes. The bright side is, S6 recharges exceedingly fast charging up 35% in just 10 to 15 minutes time. Additionally, the phone can charge wirelessly as well keeping things smooth for you.

Verdict
Designed remarkably and being great at performing, S6 is incredible, definitely a flagship smartphone in the market. The camera is amazing which works great even in low lights. This is a strong selling point of the phone. However, battery life didn’t impress much. If you plan to make a good investment on a phone than Galaxy S6 is definitely worth considering.

LG G Pad8 V480 8

Say hello to a new addition in tablet world, LG G Pad 8.0, the 8-inch Android tablet. LG is releasing classy devices without any break. It has released its tablet trio at the same time, G Pad 10.1, G Pad 7.0 and G Pad 8.0. Equipped with Quardcore Snapdragon CPU with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, LG G Pad 8.0 is our machine to review today.

Design and Display

Meet the stylish LG G Pad 8.0 built with matte-effect plastic. This makes it easier to hold but it acts as a magnet for ginger prints. On the left side, you will discover power button and volume controls & being so light, it shows off great portability.

Talking about the display, the 8 inch-screen delivers an excellent picture quality as it has a decent resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels having the pixel density of 189 ppi. The IPS panel produces vibrant and colorful images offering great viewing angles. However, the screen lacks sharpness and sometimes the images might appear washed out.

Apps and Inside Story

This LG G Pad 8 comes with a powerful software and multiple useful apps. Equipped with Android 4.24.2 and Quardcore Snapdragon, it surely raises the expectations. It refreshes you with a number of apps and features which are quite intriguing to the user.

Making you safe and secure, Knock Code is the feature which would make you access the home screen with over 86,000 code combinations as told by LG. This makes the tablet to appear prominently among its rivals.

Nest comes the Q pair, enabling you to connect your phone to the G Pad. With this option, you will be able to receive various notifications such as text messages.

Moreover, control your other electronic machines with its option of QuickRemote. The built-in IR blaster enables you to take control of your TV, DVD or player.

Unlike other manufacturers, LG gives you the convenience of uninstall some pre-loaded applications. Through this, you can make space in the device and work by having your own space.

Performance

If you ask about the performance, LG G Pad 8.0 manages to provide you with decent working. Coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, it is a powerful machine however, the earlier released 8.3 showed much more strong internal tech.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset which powers the G Pad 8.0 isn't going to win any awards when it comes to processing grunt – even last year's G Pad 8.3 came with more powerful internal tech. Backed by just 1GB of RAM, this rather weak chip doesn't make for a particularly smooth user experience. Equipped with Android 4.4.2 OS and Quad core processor, the tablet shows satisfactory performance but not as great as expected as it often gets jerky.

If you plan to have this tablet for some serious gaming purpose, LG G Pad 8.0 might not be able to serve you at its best. The graphically intense 3D titles pushes the Adreno 305 graphics processor to the limit. 2D titles work much better but this is certainly not a tablet one would like to recommend to game freaks. The sound quality is not really admirable and the audio lacks bass. Turning up the volume would do no good as it only causes distortions.

Camera

The tablet is well-equipped with 5 Megapixel Rear & 1.3 Megapixel Front Camera which captures decent images, not great. It doesn’t have any LED flash so it gets hard to capture good images in dark environments. Photos appear less clear lacking definition. But, that can’t be considered as a drawback as most of the tablets come with almost same kind of cameras producing weak images. The camera works okay for video chatting but it certainly not the camera to capture memories.

Battery Life

Coming with 4200mAh non-removable power cell, LG G Pad 8.0 manages to deliver you with 5 to 6 hours of battery life. Play games and videos for long periods surf on net or work in a relaxed power saving environment.

Does LG G Pad 8.0 Makes a User Happy?

Coming with an unbelievably low price tag and equipped with decent features and applications, LG G Pad 8.0 is worth considering when buying a modest tablet for yourself. However, screen resolution is found quite disappointing. But if you say it to make an overall judgment, the tablet genuinely provides the users with countless useful features good enough to bring a sense of satisfaction.

You should start off with reading reviews on various laptops in the list, compare their features, price and design and make an intelligent buying choice. You will be able to find good reviews on LaptopOutlet blogs, PCWorld and TrustedReviews.

Discover and consider your needs

In order to invest on the best laptop, you need to focus on your basic preferences. Like whether you want Mac or Windows PC, to which extent it should be portable, what are the storage needs etc. After answering these all question for yourself in mind, you will definitely come up with the most appropriate laptop for you.

Portability Check

Some people are okay with carrying heavy machines whereas some doesn’t feel comfortable with such heavy load. Decide that how portable you want your laptop to be and then proceed further.

ASUS Chromebook Flip Review

You might find it hard to select a Chromebook having distinguished features as most of them are found packed with almost same specs delivering similar kind of performance. Even the looks are quite similar. Well, ASUS has not followed the same lines, in-fact introduced a streamlined Chromebook Flip, hoping to give people with something fresh and happening. It manages to differentiate itself from other Chromebooks by packing expensive features and stylish design. Let’s see if this Chromebook is special enough as it seems.

Design

Starting off with its design, we were delighted to see this Chromebook styled pleasantly with full metallic chassis. The All-aluminum body gives the notebook a much trendy and classy look. Considering the price tag this machine comes with, it surely is something you’ll find peace at having. Because of this awesome eminent formation, it gives a tough time to Windows laptops.
Utilizing the space as much as it could, this 10.1-inch device comes with a full-sized key-board and a decent sized trackpad. You might find the trackpad bit smaller in size but it’s not something which disappoints drastically.

One the most attractive features of this Chromebook is its ability to transform into tablet. This is an added functionality which makes it super desirable.

Display

Chromebooks are not popular for coming up with HD display, rather they are seen with decent resolution, good but not so brilliant. But ASUS flip Chromebook introduces a touch display with commendable resolution of 1280x800 as this is something rare in the world of Chromebooks. Moreover, there is some extra space at the sides of the screen that enables the user to grip the flip easily without any risks of hitting the touchscreen.

Keyboard and trackpad

Well, where we found the compact size of this Chromebook aiding in high portability, we also found its key-board and trackpad quite smaller than the standard size on the other hand. You will feel a noticeable difference while typing. The smaller keyboard and trackpad might irritate you when typing and navigating the stuff. This shortcoming might refrain those buyers from having this notebook who need to type on daily basis.

Performance and real-world use

Powered by Rockchip 1.8GHz Quad-core RK3288C, Asus Flip Chromebook delivers a rock-solid performance. Furthermore, it comes with 2 options in terms of memory and storage, 2 or 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 or 32GB respectively. We would like to recommend you to opt for the 4GB version as it will keep things easier for you as memory is the key to carry out effective multi-tasking functionalities between Google Docs, Twitter, and Gmail etc.

It was a pleasure seeing the Chromebook performing this well. It showed no problems with usual browsing tendencies but it did display some glitches when surfing on media rich sites such as Facebook and Google. We found it hanging at some points.  Otherwise the Chromebook worked incredibly. The benchmarks revealed quite good scores especially in comparison to its rivals. The ASUS Chromebook scored nearly double to Acer 740 in Sunspider tests.

Battery life

Battery life is one of the most important aspects for deciding the fate of any notebook. Well, then Chromebook Flip has passed this hurdle cleanly by remaining alive for total 8 hours and 10 minutes. This is just simply wow as we have seen notebooks scoring 8 hours but not more than that. This means you are easily going to pass a long working day with this Chromebook. Work on your documents or browse the important stuff with no worries of battery draining out.  Also, enjoy your weekends watching your favorite movies and listening to your favorite songs with this long lived Asus Flip Chromebook.

Wrap-up

The incredible metal body is the first hit you will notice about this Chromebook. It certainly makes it a streamlined Chromebook. The price is like paying pennies for a masterpiece made out of metal. Accompanied by powerful performance and long battery life, it certainly is the most desirable Chromebook. However, like every laptop has few shortcomings, this has too. It sometimes crash at random and the key-board and trackpad are smaller in size as compared to the standard ones you find on other notebooks. These short-comings are definitely not something to worry about as this Chromebook offers a lot more against these drawbacks.

Review on Lenovo G50-30

It looks like Lenovo enjoys to keep its fans on their toes.  We have seen that Lenovo has been successful at offering its customers with quite a variety of countless laptop models with varying prices and functioning. No doubt, this effort of Lenovo is to be appreciated. The latest models introduced by Lenovo comes from its G-series, known for their agility, comfort, features and design. Meet yet another machine brought to you by Lenovo, G50-30. The highlights of this laptop we heard includes it low-price and remarkable performance. We would like to review it to comprehend if this is the truth or it is based on mere rumors.

Display and Design

The Lenovo G-series comes up with pretty much similar specs. Talking about the display, the G50-30 is well-found with a 15.6-inch screen exhibiting a resolution of 1366x768 pixels with a brightness of 216.1 cd/m². This is much appropriate as it features relatively a lower price. However, if we talk about the contrast, it appears extremely disappointing (using the most lenient words). The contrast ratio of 161:1 and black level of 1.4 cd/m² is not even expected by lowest budget laptops. The other notebooks, the potential rivals such as Packard Bell’s EasyNote offers much better than this in approximately the same price. Moreover, the screen unveils extreme bluish shades which kills the picture beauty even more. The low-budget laptops we have reviewed so far do normally come with low-resolution screen but with lesser complaints.
This cheap built laptop doesn’t own a remarkable design as predictable but it is durable in nature. Weighing 2.1 kg, it is normal portable and added attraction is it comes fan-less enabling it to remain calm and less noisy.

Performance

Lenovo is serious on providing its customers with full on packed performance but how sincerely they have come along? Coming in low price, Lenovo G50-30 is installed with basic features convenient for office usage. Powered by Intel Celeron N2830 dual-core processor (Bay Trail), it manages to deliver an acceptable performance for performing normal tasks. However, if you demand more form this machine, I am afraid it wouldn’t be able to satisfy you.
The overall system performance was found smooth but became quite slow when multiple number of windows were opened. Not surprisingly, the PCMark revealed low scores which was again expected with the installed processor.
Speaking of the graphics, the HD Graphics core ropes DirectX 11 and clocks with speeds of up to 750 MHz which is incompetent to the much powerful AMD namely Radeon R3 and Radeon R4. Hence, we are still unable spot anything extraordinary in the Lenovo G50-30’s performance track.

Gaming Performance

Gaming might be one of your goals when buying a laptop. Sadly, this laptop is not created for the purpose. It fails to support the latest 3D games and only few games accomplished to work with smooth frame rates but delivering with low resolution. Consequently, we would not recommend to people who are searching for cheap laptops for gaming. This is certainly not the one to get hands on for gaming.

Battery Runtime

Well, finally we have come up with a good news regarding this laptop. Usually the laptops coming in low prices exhibit shorter battery life but Lenovo took good care of this and managed to deliver the user with longer battery life, keeping the machine alive for approximately 5 hours and 11 minutes. This is confidently a good rate but if we talk about one of its rivals such as Packard Bell’s EasyNote, it remains juiced up for 7 hours and 9 minutes.

Networking and Connectivity

The Lenovo G50-30 features wide range of connectivity and networking options. It comes with 2 USB 2.0 poerts and 1 USB 3.0 port. You will also find 1 VGA and the essential HDMI. Additionally, the fast Ethernet (10/100MBit), Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 offers you with great networking options you wish for from a small budget laptop.

Verdict

We have discovered the low-budget Lenovo G50-30 quite suitable for that class of people who desire to own a laptop to carry out their basic computing tasks such as browsing, emailing, skype and videos. Being fanless, this laptop doesn’t make much noise and operates decently if not burdened much. The laptop was found long lived, all thanks to its powerful battery. But Lenovo G50-30 is not all good, it comes with few major short-comings. The display wasn’t found acceptable, even the excuse of being low-budget laptop could not save it. Surprisingly, while other laptops come with normally a 2 year warranty, Lenovo G50-30 comes only with a 12 month warranty.

The Amazing Life of the Year 2050

So, how many of you walk on the paths of future in your mind? Ever gave a thought that how life would be after 50 years, after whole 5 decades? The moment I started thinking about it, my mind got filled with great excitement as it’s always fun to imagine the future. It takes you to the places where no one else can.

We have seen technology growing, leaving us startled by the fabulous inventions, unveiling difficult truths and discoveries. Undoubtedly, we cannot deny the fact that technology plays a pivotal role in directing our lives, both personal and professional. The question is how it will change our in future?
Starting with the favorite part of my imagination, ‘Spaceships!’ Yes, that’s right, the future of transportation. Right now we are on the verge of launching driver-less cars but still this doesn’t excite me to the highest levels. Growing up watching cartoons like The Jestons, Instopia and stuff like that, I have always been a fan of spaceships. Talking about the real world, flying cars would be a more appropriate term. How amusing it would be to travel in flying cars, no more street bumps, lesser traffic jams and most of all enjoying the journey in a most refreshing way. Who knows we might be enjoying the formula 1 race in air rather than on streets.

Next comes ‘The robots’. We are already experiencing robot inventions who are ready to play a human like role in our daily lives such as the latest Budgee, the robot who follows. So, we might see more of robots as our future buddies going out with us, carrying things for us, driving a car or even talking to us.

What about phones and laptops? We have seen our daily life gadgets shrinking day by day, going sleek and slimmer and highly portable. Following that, we may find our phones, laptops and tablets more of wearable devices. We might be wearing them as a good piece of jewelry or like a smart watch and controlling our normal computing tasks. Thinking of it also brings the term ‘Mental Telepathy’ in my mind, technology enabling people to communicate with each other through our minds exclusively while sitting at some other place.

Going deeper I see food transformations, yes I take food seriously and I am sure many people fall for food the same as me. It is predicted that the world population will grow tremendously. To counter that, various farming techniques would be applied most probably. By near 2035 or more surely by 2050, meat might grow in labs or salads in skyscrapers. Food predictions are hard to make, we cannot really forecast that which food would be the most popular from 50 years now. We might be finding instant food options more abundant than the actual food we eat right now.

A hamburger might pop up by just spilling warm water on some powder or perhaps a three course meal appear right before your eyes in seconds. The taglines of various food advertisements will be too funny, ‘two-minute steak’ instead of two-minute noodles we cook now.

What would be the future of social networking? Surely it will no longer be a matter of tapping or clicking on screens anymore. People would have real time conversations. E-commerce has already changed much of our shopping routine, we might be shopping with our friends online, virtually trying clothes and accessories and selecting the desired particulars.

Wandering through the wildest part of my imagination, I forecast super heroes with veiled faces such as Superman, Batman, and Spider-man saving us from any mishaps and accidents.  Well, I can’t say if they will be exactly the same but surely an improved version of policemen and soldiers, more powerful, well-informed of the surroundings and much faster in saving lives.

For the love of animals, how can I miss predicting them by 2050? Only animal lovers would understand that how much they wish to understand their pets. We keep cats, dogs, hamsters etc but sometimes fail to understand our lovely fur balls. We love to take care of them, play with them and share real lifetime memories. What if we could converse with them and understand their language? 2050 might come up with such surprises enabling the pet owner to talk with their pets or at least recognizing their sound language. Well, it might possibly bring few problems such as discovering that the pet who you thought loves you the most may actually carry utmost disgust for you!

2050 is surely going to be full of amazement. It might be way more advance of what we are thinking right now or might be really devastating bringing wars involving hi-tech highly destructible weapons. Till then, let’s wait for 2050 to enjoy the imagination turned into reality.

HP EliteBook Folio 1040 Review

Searching for a laptop that can satisfy your business needs, has great portability and high security, HP EliteBook Folio 1040 wins at maintaining such impression. Its razor sharp aluminum built and speedy Core i7 performance is definitely a charm. Well, this was just a starter. Here is an overall review of EliteBook Folio which would unquestionably make it even more desirable from your end.

Display

The display is amazing, Folio 1040sports a vivid 1920 x 1080-pixel display. This is equal to what Dell 7440 and Acer P645 but in comparison to Lenovo X1's 2560 x 1440p screen, it doesn’t produce sharper images than what Lenovo offers. The HD screen delivers detailed bright images with the essential crisp. The text also appears to be clear and easy to read.

Design

The HP Elite Book Folio has a well-defined stylish design. The lid is made of dark-gray aluminum with gentle curves on the edge. The large chrome HP logo is placed in the center. It has been designed elegantly yet gracefully powerful. The inside look exhibits the presence of same dark-gray aluminum with an air vent/speaker grille which lengths upto the deck of black keyboard. The large touch pad is present below with a finger print reader present at the right side.

The EliteBook weighs upto 3.4 pounds. In competition to that, The Lenovo ThinkPAd Carbon X1 is lighter weighing around 3.15 pounds. But Elite Book is lighter than Acer TravelMate and Dell Latitude.

Durability and Security

How about we question the durability of EliteBook? Well, it has been found tough enough to stand against rash drops, vibrations and dust as it successfully passed the 12 MIL-STD 810G  tests.

Moreover, this robust machine is not only strong outside but inside as well. This doesn’t support any physical buttons and clicking in favor of a fully pressure-sensitive touchpad. The touchpad is found sensitive, responsive to common multifinger gestures. The HP also beat out or match its rivals, all of which had SSDs and at least 4GB of RAM. The Lenovo X1 Carbon scored 4,734, the Acer P645 (Intel Core i7-4500U) achieved 4,886 and the Dell 7440 (1.9-GHz Intel Core i5-4300U ) scored 4,544.

Moreover, the Folio 1040 booted Windows 7 Professional in only 15 seconds and replicated 5GB multimedia files in just 37 seconds! These were some wow results generated by Folio.

Folio also won over the spreadsheet test. The task of pairing 20,000 names and addresses in Open Office, was completed in just 4 minutes and 14 seconds which was a minute fatser than the Lenovo X1. The Acer and Dell were also left behind in these numbers, both of them were about half a minute late than HP’s system.

Verdict

Packing powerful performance along with the robust design, the HP EliteBook Folio 1040 accomplishes to fall in the category of one of the most impressive business notebooks in record. It showed marvelous performance in certain tests carried out leaving behind its top contenders.

But ofcourse not everything about it appears lovable. The bottom of the Folio may get warm and its audio is just fine, not as great as other laptops offer. But, the drawbacks are not so significant than what overall HP EliteBook Folio 1040 offers. With its attractive design and top-nothch security tools, Elitebook Folio might become your favorite one.
