Lenovo ThinkPad E565 Review

• Price: £239.49
• Processor: AMD A8-8600P / 1.6GHz Max Turbo Speed 3.0GHz
• RAM: 4GB
• Storage: 500GB HDD
• Screen: 15.6" Display (1366 x 768) Resolution
• Graphics: AMD Radeon R6 Graphics
• Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
• Special Offer at Laptop Outlet: Includes ACME SP103 Efficient Mini Portable Speaker

A little undecided on this powerful Lenovo Thinkpad E565? With great graphics, fast performance speed, and great connectivity features, it sure sounds like a good deal at only £239.49; but we’ll get to all of that tech stuff in a bit. At Laptop Outlet, we love nothing more than seeing our customers being happy with their purchase, that’s why we’ve included a free ACME mini portable speaker with this device! Pretty cool, right? We’re dedicated to making sure you invest in something that suits your tech needs, so we’re going to make sure you have all the necessary information if you’re considering buying this cheap Lenovo laptop.

Pros:

• Powerful processor ensures good performance
• Durable
• Cheap price
• Graphics
• Pre-installed with Windows 10 Home 64-bit
• Keyboard designed to provide comfortable typing for longer
• Comes with ACME SP103 Efficient Mini Portable Speaker free!

Cons:

• Not the most portable laptop
• lain black exterior, very mediocre

Design & Portability:

The matte black graphite finish is nothing too flashy or eye-catching, but ensures that this laptop is office and school appropriate. The matte black casing also counteracts fingerprints, dust and scratches, as laptops with a glossier finish are more prone to such damage and wearing out. The plastic exterior gives the device an old-school look and is surprisingly robust and sturdier than other competitors in its range. Bumpy car rides to work or school are no problem for this affordable Lenovo laptop.

In terms of portability, it could be better; however the impressive specs make up for its weight. Weighing 2.4 kg and with a dimension of 14.8” x 10” x 1.1”, it carries a fair bit of weight and isn’t the smallest, but for the great price and power you get, it’s somewhat expected. We recommend using this at home, but if you’re only a short trip away from the library then you’ll be fine carrying this there. The battery life of 9 hours ensures you can get a fair bit of work done whilst out of the house, and is suitable for an entire day out, and lengthy journeys.

Performance & Connectivity:

With a VGA port, a DVD/CD reader, three USB 3.0 ports, a 4-in-1 card reader (SD card, multimedia card, SDHC card and SDXC card), Bluetooth connectivity and 802.11ac Wi-Fi, you’re really spoilt considering the cheap price of £239.49; as you’re ensured connectivity to all your devices/external storage drives and the internet quickly.
The AMD A8 processor offers immense performance quality, providing this laptop with the capacity to run power-consuming software and programmes, as well as multitasking and gaming. It’s a one-off and an extremely pleasant surprise to see a laptop as cheap as this provide such power, as others in a similar price range wouldn’t be able to withstand the pressure of such demanding programmes and work.

Entertainment:

With AMD Radeon R6 graphics, films and gaming are all the better! For only £239.49, visual quality stretched beyond anything of competitors in its price range; offering you more than the standard integrated Intel HD graphics that most laptops have. Become engrossed in a game and feel like you’re part of your favourite movie, the colour is sharp and detail is impeccable.

Your gaming and cinematic experience will be further enhanced by the built-in Dolby speakers with advanced audio, as well as with the additional ACME Mini Portable Speaker which comes free with this device; providing you with clear and defined sound effects which allows you to have a great gaming experience, as well as being loud enough to fill your bedroom if you want to play some tunes in the morning whilst getting ready.

Options like Bluetooth allow you to connect to speakers, the DVD/CD port lets you play films and burn tracks, as well as play games, and the multi-purpose card slots allow you to transfer and edit pictures with ease.

Operating System & Storage:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit ensures optimum performance with numerous features that help manage all your apps, files and programmes. With everything you need on your homepage in an easy-to-view and access tiled format, you’ll never waste time searching for what you need and are guaranteed quick start-ups. Customise your homepage for even quicker and easier access to your favourite and most used apps and programmes.

The massive storage space of 500GB caters to all your needed apps, files, documents and programmes and entertainment features too. Ideal for those who use graphics software (e.g. photo/video editing software) which takes up a lot of storage space. In the off chance that you do run out of space, you needn’t worry as you’re equipped with all the needed ports to connect to numerous external storage devices.
